It’s a new year and after a long radio silence in 2016, the blogging bug has finally bitten me again. So here I am, restarting this project and hoping to continue sharing my squirrel brained schemes and projects with you.
You might have thought 2016 was a slow year for projects for me, but in fact I spent the year focused so much on making that I didn’t feel like I had time for writing. I updated my Settlers of Catan cosplay, debuted a Keisha (Alice Isn’t Dead) head-cannon costume, genderbent Alexander Hamilton, brewed beer, and baked a lot of sourdough breads. You can find most of the photos I took over the year of my projects on Instagram @squirrelbraind, and some of the photos also made their way onto DeviantArt (although I’ve been remiss in keeping that account active too).
Going forward I hope to make this my “show and tell” space, where we can look at projects and discuss what went into making them. I’m still hoping to write the occasional tutorial, but those will probably be posted on Instructables since they have a great community and format.
Here’s to small beginnings and new adventures in 2017.
